Cycloidal Transmission

Strong. Safe. Silent. Each actuator is driven by a brushless DC motor and in-line cycloidal transmission. This affords our actuators quasi-direct drive performance at high gear ratios, low backlash, high torque density and efficiency, low backdriving torque, and resistance to impact.

Dual Encoding

The actuator knows where it is, because it knows where it isn't. Both the input (motor-side) and output (post-transmission) are measured by high-resolution absolute encoders, allowing for granual low-level control and adaptive compensation for imperfections in the transmission.

Durable Construction

Highly athletic motion = high internal forces. Featuring numerous steel retaining features and high-load bearings, these actuators can take a beating and keep running strong.

Speed and Power

Dynamic on demand. Our actuators can supply high power and high precision, Useful for door opening, manipulating objects, human-speed walking, and martial arts. All of which have been tested on Alex.
